Rotary’s Mission

The mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

Rotary’s main objective is service – in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe. The 1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the world share a dedication to the ideal of Service Above Self.

Rotary clubs are open to people of all cultures and ethnicities and are not affiliated with any political or religious organizations.

The Rotary Four-Way Test

The test, which has been translated into more than 100 languages, asks the following four simple questions:

Of the things we think, say or do...

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Oct. 7, 2015 - The new Greenway restroom, a partnership between Bradley Sunrise and Cleveland noon Rotary clubs, is nearing completion! All that remains on the construction is a few last-minute details. Two connecting sidewalks to the greenway are awaiting cooperative weather, so until then it must remain locked to the public. If you have not had a chance to take a look, feel free to drive by. The roof was chosen to represent Rotary blue! Both clubs are looking forward to a day in the near future when they can gather for a formal ribbon-cutting!

Bradley Sunrise Rotarian Sally Poston poses with United States Senator Lamar Alexander at the Oak Ridge Rotary Club last week. Sen. Alexander was the club's guest speaker.

RI President K.R. Ravindran chose "Be a Gift to the World" as his theme for 2015-16. Ravindran urges Rotary members to give the gifts of time, talent, and knowledge to improve lives in communities across the globe. “Through Rotary, we can take these gifts and make a genuine difference in the lives of others and in our world.”
